About Kaitlin…
Kaitlin Yapchaian creates art with an optimistic eye, precise hand and a penchant for bright and bold colors. She creates contemporary objects for the home, spanning photography and ceramics.
Warm details of everyday life fill her images, like an affectionate interaction or the joy and energy of kids. Both her images and handmade ceramics are graphic and vibrant.
Kaitlin grew up in Rhode Island, received a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Richmond, and completed a Product Design program at New York University. She’s been a member of creative collectives and her work has appeared in juried and open shows, boutique hotels and stores, zines, and more.
This artistic, tactile work counterbalances Kaitlin’s day job in technology and design. Her digital product experience — from her current role at Apple to prior work for The New York Times, Vogue, and Nike — nurtured her design sensibility and proclivity for precision, polish and simplicity.
While Kaitlin has lived on both coasts and traveled extensively internationally, she now divides her time between Rhode Island and New York City.
